缘起

八段锦,乃道家导引养生之经典功法,因全套共八节动作,且动作优美如锦缎般华美,故名"八段锦"。此功法起源于宋代,一说为岳飞所创,一说源于道家修炼之士,历经千年传承,至今仍为最受欢迎的养生功法之一。

八段锦有文八段与武八段之分。文八段为坐式,重在内修;武八段为立式,兼及肢体。今世所传以立式八段锦最为通行,分为南北两派。南派动作柔和,以"文"见长;北派刚劲有力,以"武"著称。

Baduanjin, literally "Eight Pieces of Brocade," is one of the most renowned Daoist health cultivation exercises. Believed to have originated during the Song Dynasty (960–1279 CE), it consists of eight gentle movements that stretch and strengthen the body, regulate breathing, and calm the mind.

The name derives from the elegance of its movements — likened to eight pieces of fine brocade silk — and the profound health benefits each practice bestows upon the practitioner.

功理

八段锦之原理,在于通过肢体的伸展、俯仰、开合,配合呼吸吐纳,疏通经络、调和气血、平衡阴阳。每一式动作皆对应人体特定的脏腑经络,如"双手托天理三焦"调理三焦气机,"左右开弓似射雕"舒展肺经,"调理脾胃须单举"健脾和胃。

"流水不腐,户枢不蠹,动也。形气亦然。形不动则精不流,精不流则气郁。"

"Running water does not grow stale; a door hinge does not rot. So it is with body and qi — if the body moves not, the essence flows not, and when essence stagnates, the qi becomes obstructed."

八式详解

01 双手托天理三焦

两脚平行站立,与肩同宽。双手交叉于腹前,翻掌向上,缓缓上托至头顶,目视掌背。同时足跟微微提起。稍停,双手沿体侧缓缓落下,足跟着地。反复数次。

此式通过上托下落,伸展脊柱与三焦经,疏通上中下三焦之气机,使全身气脉通畅。

Stand with feet parallel, shoulder-width apart. Interlace the fingers in front of the abdomen, then turn the palms upward and slowly press the hands overhead, gazing at the backs of the hands. Rise slightly onto the toes as the hands lift. Pause briefly, then lower the hands along the sides of the body as the heels return to the floor. Repeat several times. This movement stretches the spine and the Triple Burner meridian, opening the qi pathways of the upper, middle, and lower burners throughout the body.

02 左右开弓似射雕

左脚向左横跨一步,成马步。双手在胸前交叉,左手如握弓,右手如拉弦,向右侧拉开,目视右手食指。收回后换方向重复。

此式扩胸展肺,刺激手太阴肺经,增强肺活量,抒发胸中郁气。

Step the left foot to the left into a horse stance (mǎ bù). Cross the hands in front of the chest, then extend the left hand as if holding a bow while the right hand draws back the "string," gazing toward the right index finger. Return to center and repeat on the opposite side. This movement opens the chest and lungs, stimulates the Lung meridian (shǒu tài yīn), increases lung capacity, and releases pent-up emotions from the chest.

03 调理脾胃须单举

双手掌心向上置于腹前,左手翻掌上托至头顶,右手翻掌下按至胯旁。上下对拉,目视上方。收回后换手重复。

此式通过上下对拉,按摩脾胃,调理中焦运化功能,使升降有序。

Hold both palms facing up in front of the abdomen. Turn the left palm upward and press it overhead, while turning the right palm downward and pressing it beside the hip. Feel the opposing stretch between the two hands, gazing upward. Return and switch hands. This movement gently massages the spleen and stomach, regulates the transformative function of the middle burner, and harmonizes the ascending and descending of qi.

04 五劳七伤往后瞧

两脚平行站立,双手自然下垂。头部缓缓向左后方转动,目视后方,同时两臂外旋,掌心向外。稍停后缓缓回正,换方向重复。

此式通过转颈后瞧,活动颈椎,刺激大椎穴,疏通督脉,解除五劳七伤之积弊。

Stand with feet parallel, arms hanging naturally. Slowly turn the head to look over the left shoulder behind you, simultaneously rotating both arms outward so the palms face away from the body. Pause briefly, then slowly return to center and repeat to the other side. This movement mobilizes the cervical spine, stimulates the Dà Zhuī (Great Vertebra) acupoint, opens the Governing Vessel (dū mài), and alleviates the accumulated effects of the five strains and seven injuries.

两脚大开,成马步。双手扶于膝上,上体先向左前方倾,再向右后方摇转,如龙摆尾。换方向重复。

此式通过旋腰摆体,引火下行,清心除烦,平衡心肾之阴阳。

Stand with feet wide apart in a horse stance. Place both hands on the knees. Tilt the upper body forward to the left, then sway it back to the right in a smooth, undulating motion — like a dragon swaying its tail. Repeat in the opposite direction. This movement rotates the waist and trunk, drawing excess fire downward from the heart, clearing mental agitation, and balancing the yin and yang between the heart and kidneys.

此式前屈后伸,按摩腰肾,刺激膀胱经与肾经,强腰固肾,防治腰背酸痛。

Stand with feet together. Raise both hands overhead, then bend forward from the waist, sliding the hands down the backs of the legs toward the feet. Pause briefly at the bottom, then slowly rise back up. Repeat several times. This forward-bending and backward-stretching motion massages the lumbar region and kidneys, stimulates the Bladder and Kidney meridians, strengthens the lower back, and helps prevent and relieve back pain.

07 攒拳怒目增气力

两脚大开,成马步。双手握拳置于腰间,拳心向上。左拳缓缓向前冲出,拳心向下,怒目圆睁。收回后换手重复。

此式通过冲拳怒目,激发肝气,增强体力。怒目使肝气升发,冲拳使力贯全身。

Stand with feet wide apart in a horse stance. Clench both fists at the waist with palms facing up. Thrust the left fist slowly forward, turning the fist so the palm faces downward, while opening the eyes wide with fierce intensity. Retract and switch hands. This movement channels the liver qi through forceful punching and intense gazing, building physical strength and vigor throughout the entire body.

08 背后七颠百病消

两脚并立,双手自然下垂。足跟缓缓提起,头向上顶,稍停后足跟轻轻落地,全身微震。重复七次。

此式通过提踵颠足,震动脊柱与五脏六腑,疏通全身经络,使百脉调和。

Stand with feet together, arms hanging naturally. Slowly rise onto the toes, lifting the crown of the head upward. Pause briefly, then drop the heels gently back to the floor, allowing a gentle vibration to ripple through the body. Repeat seven times. This bouncing motion sends vibrations through the spine and internal organs, opening all the body's meridians and harmonizing the entire network of qi channels.

修炼要诀

练习八段锦,须注意以下几点:

一曰松静自然。练功时全身放松,心无杂念,呼吸自然,切忌用力过猛。动作宜缓不宜急,宜舒展不宜拘谨。

二曰意气相随。以意领气,以气运身。每一个动作都应配合呼吸,吸气时蓄势,呼气时发力。意到、气到、力到,三者合一。

三曰持之以恒。养生功法贵在坚持。每日晨起或睡前练习一遍,每次约十五至二十分钟。日久功深,自然体健神清。

To practice Baduanjin effectively, remember three principles:

Relaxation and stillness — Keep the body loose, the mind clear, and the breathing natural. Never force any movement.

Unity of intention and qi — Let awareness guide the breath, and the breath move the body. Inhale to gather energy; exhale to express it.

Consistency — Practice daily, morning or evening, for fifteen to twenty minutes. Over time, health of body and clarity of mind will naturally follow.
