Cosmic Mother
Doumu Yuanjun (斗姆元君, "Primal Lady of the Dipper") is the cosmic mother of all stars — particularly the Big Dipper (北斗七星) and two invisible companion stars, making nine in total. She is worshipped for longevity, protection from misfortune, and the benevolent influence of the stars on human destiny.
She is depicted with nine arms — each holding a symbol of cosmic power: the sun, moon, stars, books of destiny, swords of wisdom. Her multiple arms represent her omniscient, omnipresent maternal care for the cosmos.
