「大知闲闲」是庄子对认知层次的精妙划分。大的智慧是宽广从容的，小的智慧是斤斤计较的；大的言论气势磅礴，小的言论喋喋不休。庄子不是在贬低「小知」，而是在指出：当我们被细节和分别心所困时，就丧失了观照全局的能力。
Great knowledge is broad and leisurely; small knowledge is meticulous and petty. Great speech is powerful; small speech is garrulous. When trapped by details and distinction-making, we lose the ability to perceive the whole.
