「得意忘言」是庄子认识论中的经典命题。鱼筌是用来捕鱼的，捕到鱼就忘了鱼筌；兔网是用来捉兔的，捉到兔就忘了兔网；言语是用来表达意思的，领会了意思就忘了言语。庄子追问：我怎样才能找到忘掉言语的人，和他交谈呢？这是对语言局限性的深刻反思。
The fish trap exists for fish; once caught, forget the trap. Words exist for meaning; once grasped, forget the words. Zhuangzi asks: where can I find someone who has forgotten words, to talk with? A profound reflection on the limits of language.
