Great Wisdom Appears Foolish
原文Original Text
Daodejing, Chapter 45

释义Annotation

"Da zhi ruo yu" derives from the dialectical thinking of Chapter 45 of the Daodejing. The deepest wisdom appears foolish on the surface. One who truly possesses great wisdom does not display brilliance or flaunt cleverness everywhere — instead, profound knowledge is concealed behind an unassuming exterior. This 「wisdom beyond wisdom」 reflects the Taoist ideal of returning to authenticity.
