📖 How to Use This Tool

Step 1 — Choose a Method

Select one of three divination methods above:

• By Time — Uses the date and hour. Best for reading the energy of a specific moment. Auto-fills with the current time.
• By Numbers — Enter three numbers from your environment (license plate, phone number, address, etc.). Any positive integers work.
• By Text — Type any word, name, or phrase. The tool converts each character to its code and derives the hexagram.

Step 2 — Enter Your Input

Fill in the fields that appear based on your chosen method. For the Time method, click "Use Current Time" to auto-fill, or enter any date and hour manually.

Step 3 — Cast the Hexagram

Click "Cast Hexagram". The tool instantly calculates your reading.

Step 4 — Read Your Result

The result shows three hexagrams and a moving line:

• Original Hexagram (本卦) — Your current situation.
• Changed Hexagram (变卦) — The likely outcome after transformation.
• Nuclear Hexagram (互卦) — Hidden underlying forces.
• Moving Line (动爻) — The specific advice for this moment. Often the most actionable part.

Reading the Lines

Each hexagram has six lines, stacked bottom to top (line 1 at the bottom, line 6 at the top):

• Solid line (━━━━━) = Yang (阳) — active energy
• Broken line (━━ ━━) = Yin (阴) — receptive energy
• × or ○ marker = Moving line — this line is changing

Tips

• Clear your mind and focus on a specific question before casting.
• Traditionally, do not re-ask the same question — study the first reading more deeply instead.
• Start with the Original Hexagram, then check the Moving Line for specific guidance, then the Changed Hexagram for the outcome.
