「诚意正心」出自《大学》八条目,是修身的前置功夫。「诚意」是使意念真诚——不自欺、不虚伪;「正心」是使心思端正——不被情绪所偏。《大学》认为,心不正则看不到真相,意不诚则做不出真事。在格物致知之后、修身之前,必须先过诚意正心这一关。这是儒家内修的关键步骤。
