「学而时习之」是《论语》开篇第一句，也是儒家学习观的基石。学了知识然后按时去温习和实践，不是很愉快吗？孔子将「学」和「习」分开——「学」是获取知识，「习」是反复实践。单学不习会遗忘，单习不学会盲目。而且孔子说这个过程是「悦」的——真正的学习应该是快乐的。
'Learn and practice what you have learned' opens the Analects — the cornerstone of Confucian learning. Learning and then regularly practicing — is that not a joy? Confucius separated 'learning' (acquiring) from 'practicing' (repeating). And he said this process is joyful — true learning should be pleasurable.
