Annotation

From birth, we move toward death. Of ten, three live, three die, and three live yet move toward death through their own actions. Why? Because they grasp too tightly at life, hastening death. Over-attachment to survival paradoxically accelerates demise.

Modern Application

Excessive health obsession can harm health; excessive safety anxiety creates danger. Fear of death cannot prevent death but hinders living well. Accepting life's finitude truly enables cherishing the present.
