Annotation

"The perfect person has no self" — not having no self but transcending the small self, no longer bound by desires, fears, and attachments. The perfect person merges with all things — the highest spiritual freedom.

Modern Application

The highest self-actualization is transcending the self. When one no longer clings to "who am I," one achieves the most liberated state.
