「见义勇为」出自孔子对「勇」的定义。见到正义的事情却不去做，就是没有勇气。孔子认为，真正的「勇」不是逞强好斗，而是在正义面前敢于行动。「见义勇为」后来成为中华民族最推崇的品质之一——面对不公和邪恶，敢于挺身而出，这才是真正的勇敢。
