「皆大欢喜」出自《金刚经》的结尾——佛陀讲完此经后，在场的所有人，包括须菩提长老、比丘、比丘尼、优婆塞、优婆夷，以及天人、阿修罗等一切众生，听闻佛法后都心生大欢喜，信受奉行。这个成语在佛经中是对闻法后法喜充满的描述，后来成为日常用语中表达所有人都满意的常用词。
'All are greatly delighted' comes from the Diamond Sutra's conclusion — after the Buddha preached, all present were greatly delighted and faithfully practiced the teaching. In sutras, it describes dharma joy; in common usage, it means everyone is satisfied.
